3 arrested for ‘attempted murder’ after car ploughs into group of people

THREE people have been arrested for attempted murder after a car ploughed into a crowd in Lawless London last night.

Seven people were injured – including a male who suffered a broken leg – in the collision on Lombard Road, Battersea.

Four other people were arrested on suspicion of affray in connection with the crash – which happened at around 11:15pm, Scotland Yard said.

The group were driven at after they left a nearby hotel, according to police.

Harrowing pictures from the scene showed detectives scouring the mangled wreckage of a 4×4 car.

It is embedded in wooden fencing with a twisted bicycle on the pavement nearby.

Paramedics are also seen taking away an injured person on a stretcher.

Other photos show a large police and emergency service response.

The incident is not being treated as terrorism-related.

It’s the latest in a harrowing spate of bloodshed as London’s violent crime crisis continues to spiral out of control.

Last week, a teenage boy was killed and two others injured including the murder suspect in a multiple stabbing in South London.
Panicked diners at a nearby Pizza Express were evacuated as the melee broke out near Purley railway station.
